A bird building a nest within your property – a very positive sign, foretelling good fortune (unless the bird has a negative connotation, such as an owl).
A peacock – heralds joyful events.
A swan – a highly auspicious sign.
A stork – a benevolent omen.
A crow – associated with the planet Saturn and negative karma. Seeing a crow can be either a good or a very bad sign, depending on its behavior.
Positive Crow Signs:
A crow dropping something good near you or holding something useful in its beak (if it holds something unpleasant or old – that’s a bad sign).
A crow flying from right to left (left to right – unfavorable).
Two crows sharing food – a sign of peace and harmony in relationships.
A crow near a beautiful, healthy plant – a good omen.
A crow sitting calmly on a car roof – also a positive sign.
Negative Crow Signs:
A crow cawing and spreading its wings, or a crow (or a flock of crows) attacking a person, flying too close, touching, or flying directly overhead.
A crow throwing something at a person – may symbolize loss.
A crow circling a house three times, or tapping on a window – a warning of danger or serious trouble (depending on the direction of the window according to Vastu).
If a crow makes noise in the morning near the left side of the house – a very bad omen.
Seeing a crow in a cemetery – a hint of something coming to an end.
A crow flying in a clockwise circle – symbolizes family conflicts; counterclockwise – conflicts with enemies or acquaintances.
A crow preening itself or standing on one leg – also extremely negative signs.
Seagull – associated with Rahu (the karmic lunar node). The interpretation depends on its behavior – whether calm or aggressive.
Pigeon – generally a negative sign, as the pigeon is associated with the god Yama (the lord of death). If the pigeon has any defect, it is an especially bad omen.
Owl – a mystical symbol connected with Ketu. It can be a positive sign in financial matters, but in other aspects, it is highly unfavorable.
A lizard entering the house – a very bad sign, foretelling various negative situations.
Snakes, spiders, butterflies, and bees – can be positive signs, as long as they do not attack the person who sees them.
Mice and rats – bad omens, foretelling negative changes in financial or health matters, or bringing destruction.
Seeing an animal looking for a hiding place – an unfavorable sign.
A dead animal – may be a negative omen. If the carcass is found on your property, it is necessary to cleanse and energetically purify the area immediately.
A spruce tree in the yard – a nimitta with an ominous reputation. According to Nimitta Shastra, once such a tree grows taller than the roof of the house, the owner may die. Therefore, it is better not to plant such trees within the household grounds.
A broken lock – a broken door lock, especially on the front door, indicates a very poor state of security, both emotional and physical – and not merely because anyone could enter the house.
If you visit someone’s home and notice broken locks or doors, this is a sign that may point to direct or verbal abuse.
If, however, a pet in the home was responsible for the broken lock, this speaks of an extremely serious spiritual problem.
A person who invites you into a home with a broken door lock foretells an intention to violate your personal boundaries.
Of course, if the door is simply thirty years old or more, this is probably not a sign – merely an indication that it’s time to replace it.
A lost key is considered a bad omen.
A clock or any other electronic device that suddenly stops or breaks at the moment of reflection or planning something – a bad sign.
A flickering lamp in a certain area of the house – if you constantly have to replace the lightbulb in the same fixture, it may be due to a technical issue or faulty wiring, but it may also be a nimitta hinting at impure energy in that space. If the wiring and lamp are in perfect order yet the flickering continues – it is most likely a negative nimitta.
Clothing that tears unexpectedly, or food that spoils for no apparent reason (not due to expiration or a broken refrigerator) – these are negative signs that may foretell upcoming problems.
Household nimittas indicating the possible presence of an entity or ghost:
A cat that stares intensely into empty space and becomes restless; objects that move or make sounds by themselves; lights turning on or off without cause; items breaking; water leaks or drips; furniture or doors creaking without reason.
To conclude that an entity is present, several such signs must occur simultaneously.
According to Nimitta Shastra, strange bodily sensations in a healthy man on the right side of the body symbolize “yes,” while those on the left side symbolize “no.”
For women, it is the opposite: the left side is a positive sign, and the right side is negative.
For example: If a woman’s right eye twitches or itches – it’s a sign of something bad that may happen (for the left eye, the interpretation is reversed – it’s positive). For men, the meanings are opposite.
A strange feeling in the nose may indicate receiving good news or monetary gain.
Sneezing twice before leaving the house – a good sign; sneezing once immediately before starting something new – an extremely bad sign.
A tingling in the right cheek – a good sign; in the left cheek – a bad one.
Ringing in the right ear – a sign of good fortune. Ringing in the left ear – a bad omen warning of problems. For women, it is reversed: ringing in the right ear – a bad sign that may come true within a few hours, even if the context is unclear; ringing in the left ear – a good sign.
Tripping at the moment when thinking about something – a bad omen concerning the subject of your thought.
Stumbling or falling on stairs – also considered a negative sign.
Tingling sensations in the body – most often a negative omen.
If on a date the food tastes bad or is spoiled, or if there is dirt – this is a bad sign regarding the man you met.
If during the date something falls from your hands onto the floor and points toward the exit, it’s likely a sign that you should run.
Once, when I met a man for a first date at a restaurant, I was holding my phone for just a moment – and suddenly, it slipped and flew far away toward the door.
A few days later, it turned out we had deep and irreconcilable differences in our values and intentions regarding relationships. Fortunately, that became clear very quickly. It turned out that sometimes our spiritual protection tries to safeguard us through invisible physical intervention.
If during a date a waiter accidentally hits you on the head with a tray, that’s a sign to “wake up.”
Even if you’re trying to see the man in a positive light without knowing him deeply yet, the Universe will try to awaken you and give you a “slap” in one form or another – because soon it will become evident that the man in front of you is not for you.
If you sit somewhere and there’s cigarette ash nearby – it’s a bad sign.
Electronic devices suddenly breaking down – a very bad omen! If a guest visits your home and something suddenly breaks or stops working – it’s a sign that something is wrong with that person.
Jewelry that breaks or falls near a certain person is also a bad sign concerning them. Most likely, that person carries very strong negative energy (possibly an energetic vampire or someone with a personality disorder), and the jewelry absorbs this energy to protect you – which causes it to break or fall.
According to the Vedas, planets manifest themselves through numerous symbols we encounter in everyday life. Many nimittas are directly linked to planets, as each corresponds to certain numbers (Vedic numerology), colors, days of the week, flavors of food and drink that you consume, and even sounds you hear – whether music, noises, or tones of speech.
At the moment when you think about something in the context of a relationship (or any other situation) and suddenly sense a taste you did not expect – it may be a sign, depending on the flavor you felt:
Bitter Taste (Sun)
A bad sign. Bitterness points to dryness, criticism, and excessive ego.
In relationships, it may indicate rigidity or a judgmental attitude.
It is better to slow down, soften your communication, and avoid making sharp decisions on that day.
Salty Taste (Moon)
It can be a positive sign, but not necessarily.
Saltiness is connected to closeness, emotions, and comfort.
In relationships, it encourages intimacy, warmth, and mutual care – the key is not to fall into dependency or fear of letting go if you see that the other person is not equally willing to invest in the relationship.
If your partner cooks for you and the food turns out salty like the Dead Sea, it does not necessarily mean he is in love with you.
Sweet Taste (Jupiter)
A good sign. Sweetness symbolizes abundance, generosity, and blessing.
In relationships, it hints at good intentions and long-term stability.
This is a favorable time for serious conversations and progress in the union.
Combination of Flavors (Mercury)
In relationships, this may indicate instability and requires careful attention.
This sign suggests complexity or duality, and most often, the “truth” is revealed through dialogue.
Recommendation: have an open conversation, ask clarifying questions, and do not rush into commitments until all details are clear.
If you are only at the beginning of a connection or on a first date – let him speak more than you do, and he will reveal himself through his own words.
Sour Taste (Venus)
A good sign. Sourness brings movement, renewal, and a spark of attraction.
In relationships, it can ignite flirtation and vitality; channel this energy into creativity and light-hearted communication, avoiding excessive sarcasm.
Pungency (Mars)
A bad sign for relationships. Spiciness is not truly a taste – it is a bodily reaction to certain foods (there are only five tastes: sweet, bitter, sour, salty, and umami).
Spiciness indicates impulsiveness, impatience, and a tendency toward conflict.
It is better to postpone arguments, release energy through physical activity before meetings, and maintain a calm manner of communication.
Astringent Taste (Saturn)
A bad sign. Astringency indicates delays, restrictions, and emotional coldness.
In relationships, it may bring a sense of distance or heaviness.
It is advisable to plan small, orderly steps, establish healthy boundaries, and avoid inflated expectations during this period.
Numbers as Signs from the Universe
Number 0 or its appearance – an unfavorable sign. This also applies to double or triple-digit numbers containing zeros.
Number 1 (ruled by the Sun) or its manifestation – such as a single crow – in the context of relationships may symbolize loneliness.
Number 2 (ruled by the Moon) or its manifestation in the form of two similar objects or two people – a good omen for relationships.
Number 3 (ruled by Jupiter) or its manifestation – a positive sign in all areas except relationships.
Number 4 (ruled by Rahu) or its manifestation – a bad sign.
Number 5 (ruled by Mercury) or its manifestation – a positive sign in all areas except relationships.
Number 6 (ruled by Venus) or its manifestation – a favorable omen, predicting good events.
Number 7 (ruled by Ketu) or its manifestation – an extremely bad sign in all spheres.
Number 8 (ruled by Saturn) or its manifestation – delays and cancellations.
Number 9 (ruled by Mars) or its manifestation – impulsive actions and haste.
Repeating Numbers (three or four times)
Like “angel numbers” – appearing in phone numbers, license plates, or time on clocks (for example, 11:11) – may also be interpreted as nimittas, especially if they frequently catch your eye.
Meanings of Angel Numbers:
111 – transition to new beginnings, spiritual growth, and creativity born from thought.
222 – balance, harmony, cooperation; trust in good and in the Universe.
333 – symbol of protection and spiritual guidance (Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu); a call to awakening, spiritual growth, and the use of creative potential.
444 – the number of Rahu (4); warns against obsession and illusion. It’s important to stay grounded when making serious decisions.
555 – freedom, new opportunities, change, and transformation along the path.
666 – a call from spiritual guides to refocus; you must give more attention and sensitivity to your loved ones.
777 – Ketu; inner wisdom and spiritual awareness. A sign that the person is on the right path.
888 – prosperity, balance, and success; may appear as a sign before getting a job or achieving financial progress.
999 – transformation, completion, and new beginnings; a call to reconnect with the soul’s spiritual path.
